The third is if you are on the north side and already use the SH 205 to SH 78 corridor toward Lavon; that route rounds the top of Lake Ray Hubbard and drops you into Wylie naturally.
For the record, the faster route from the I-30 side is not the obvious one: Summer Lee Drive to I-30 west, PGBT north, Merritt Road, then Woodbridge Parkway. About 18.4 miles and around 30 minutes — a few minutes quicker than going up SH 205.
