What we offer, and what it is for
Our facials are straightforward skincare rather than clinical treatment: cleanse, gentle exfoliation, extraction where it is appropriate, a mask suited to your skin, and moisturiser, with facial and neck massage worked through the whole thing.
Body scrubs use a salt or sugar exfoliant worked over the whole body, then rinsed and followed with moisturiser. The result is smoother skin and better circulation, and most people find it one of the more pleasant hours available.
Both work well added to a massage when you want to make an occasion of it, and both suit skin that has gone dull or rough — winter, chlorine, a lot of sun, or just neglect.
Getting the most from it
Come with a clean face if you can, and skip make-up. Tell us what you use at home and what your skin does, so we choose products that suit rather than a default.
Mild pinkness for a few hours after a facial is normal. Use sunscreen for the next day or two — freshly exfoliated skin burns more easily than usual, which matters in Texas.
If you have an event coming, book a facial at least a week ahead rather than the day before. Skin occasionally purges after a first treatment and you do not want that timing to land on a wedding.
Tell us first if
A few things change what we can safely do.
Let us know if you use retinoids, tretinoin, or acid exfoliants at home, or if you have had a chemical peel, laser treatment, waxing or microneedling recently — exfoliation on top of any of those is too much. Stop retinoids about five days before a facial.
Tell us about accutane use in the last six months, active cold sores, sunburn, eczema or psoriasis flares, rosacea, open or infected breakouts, or any known allergies including nut oils and fragrance. We will patch test or adapt.
Body scrubs are not suitable over sunburn, broken skin, fresh tattoos, or a recent wax.
